“Romantic Killer,” the manga by Wataru Momose that began its run in 2019 in issue 35 of Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ and won the 2nd Jump Vertical Scroll Manga Award, is finally getting an anime adaptation as a Netflix series!
Anzu Hoshino is a “nonheroine type” high-school girl who does not pay attention to romance and fashion. She spends her days playing videogames. Anzu is forced to take part in the Magical World project to stop the population decline when Riri, the wizard, appears. This romantic comedy depicts what happens when Anzu goes from living a life immersed in her three favorite things — video games, chocolate, and cats — to being surrounded by handsome guys. Anzu insists that she never wanted to live in an online dating simulation game. She meets a handsome man who is so popular that it hurts, a young, attractive, and athletic friend from childhood, and is also naive about the world outside. All of them begin to change when they meet Anzu.
The Netflix Series “Romantic Killer”, which premieres worldwide on Thursday, October 27, 2022, is available exclusively on Netflix
